Accommodation statistics describe the supply and use of accommodation services. The statistics contain data on room and bed capacities and average prices of overnight stays in accommodation establishments. The data are collected from accommodation establishments and published monthly and annually.

In total, 1.23 million overnight stays were recorded for resident tourists and 0.32 million overnight stays for non-resident tourists in May 2022. The number of nights spent by resident tourists was 58 per cent higher than in May 2021. The number of overnight stays by non-resident tourists was four times higher than in the previous year. The total number of overnight stays in May 2022 was on the same level as in May 2019 before the corona pandemic. These figures are preliminary data from Statistics Finland's accommodation statistics.
