Growth and productivity measures
Growth and Productivity Measures expand national accounts and there changes in value added, output and labour productivity are broken down into components, which allows examination of the reasons for changes. The data are compiled from several sources and published partly five times a year and partly annually.
Labour productivity in the national economy grew by 1.8 per cent in 2020. The volume of value added fell by 2.0 per cent and hours worked by 3.9 per cent.
